7 Days to Dice is an early access survival horror video game set in an open earth developed by The Fun Pimps. It was released through Early on Access on Steam for Microsoft Windows and Mac Bone X on December 13, 2013, [ane] and for Linux on November 22, 2014. Alpha Version xi was released on Apr 2, 2015, where the developers updated to Unity 5, which includes many graphical improvements, a new quality range arrangement for guns, weapons, tools and armor and a new Zombie called "Feral". [21] Alpha 12 was released on July three, 2015, and added a new vehicle system with a Mini Cycle, offset weather system, new audio and physic systems, amongst other fixes and additions. [22] Alpha thirteen was released on December x, 2015, adding temperature survival elements, a skill system, and a redesigned crafting system. [23] The difficulty of the game has increased, only it continues to exist popular. [24]

Blastoff 14 was released on March 26, 2016, with further improvements and more features, a lot of problems fixes, besides equally some functioning and graphic optimizations. [25] Alpha fifteen was then released on October five, 2016, with major improvements to random generated maps, a trader system, a new difficulty scaling and several more than features. The UMA-Zombies that were introduced in this Alpha would be removed in Alpha 16. [26]

In April 2016, the game was announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox Ane. It was published by Telltale Publishing and released in June and July 2016. [three]

The most recent update for the console versions, Patch 13, was released on Dec 13, 2017. This patch updates the PlayStation iv version of the game to version 1.18, and the Xbox One version of the game to version 1.0.18.0. [33]

Telltale's Closure [ edit ]

On September 21, 2018, Telltale Games abruptly laid off most of its staff due to financial issues, [34] [35] and on Oct 11, 2018, began liquidating its assets through Sherwood Partners. [36] [37] A statement by The Fun Pimps on November 13, 2018, via their official online forum stated "upon hearing the news, The Fun Pimps immediately terminated its license agreement with Telltale, which only immune publishing rights on the panel ports of the vii Days to Die game." They went on to say that this "likewise severed Telltale's rights to any futurity updates or sequels of the vii Days to Dice franchise." [38]

The Fun Pimps released a statement on sixteen Oct 2019, stating that the developer had re-acquired the publishing rights to the game. The futurity of the console ports, which has not been updated since 2017, is not entirely clear. At that place is no active development happening. [4]

Reception [ edit ]

The PlayStation four and Xbox Ane versions of 7 Days to Die received "unfavorable" reviews according to the review aggregation website Metacritic. [46] [47]
